Project Overview
This is an untold chapter of the home—one that exists beyond the finished photographs.
The photographs preserve how the space looked when it was completed. What I want to remember is how, little by little, it became a home.
May 20 is the homeowners’ anniversary. They hoped to move into their new home on that very day, allowing a date that belonged to the two of them to also mark the beginning of their life together there.
This was the first project, early in my career, that I saw through from design to completion. To help them move in on their anniversary as planned, I kept a close eye on the construction schedule while accompanying them in selecting curtains and furniture, ensuring that the space maintained a consistent aesthetic—from its built-in elements to the objects of everyday life. The veining of the stone island was carefully reviewed and adjusted until the homeowners were satisfied. When the furniture arrived, I stayed to help with unboxing and placement, confirming each of the final details on site.
At the time, all I wanted was to make this home the best it could be.
Looking back years later, what I remember is not only the softness of its creamy palette, but also the trust we gradually built through every decision and every moment of waiting.
Interior design is not only about a commitment to good taste. It is also about adding a spoonful of sweetness to everyday life.
